Difficult

She’s graduating, but we’re not seeing one another.

I am happy for her, and want to congratulate her on her accomplishments and wish her the best of luck.

So I figured a card would be easy.

Boy, was I totally wrong.  That was like one of the hardest things I’ve done in a long time.  Hand shaking, emotions flying, blah…it’s done though.  Breakups suck the big one.

I hate the fact that in a relationship, you basically become best friends with your significant others.  When you break up, that best friend status disappears.  Weird how I never thought of that until I heard it from my ex a long time ago, as we were talking about relationships as people get older and how more is at stake the longer it lasts.  Thoughts?
