Jason’s grinds - cooking.

I spend an exorbitant amount of money eating out for lunch/dinner throughout the week so I’m going to actually make a menu and stick to it for this week.

Hopefully I save some $$$ and I can improve my kitchen skills or lack thereof.

I don’t really cook much other than the typical breakfast foods and quick bachelor life grinds so here’s to gaining some new skills in the kitchen.

This week shall be korean dishes: beef & chicken bulgogi, kalbi ribs, etc.

Bulgogi

This movie was pretty good, a little different but good.  The soundtrack was awesome.  Ryan Gosling, I’ve been impressed with over his last few flicks.

My jams tonight.

Wendy's tops McDonalds and Burger King. Five Guys leads the pack.

Glad to see Wendy’s still at the top against McDonalds and Burger King.  I won employee of the month twice in a year working for the red-headed hottie with the pigtails back in High School.

I think there’s a higher power out there.  Who or what it may be is up for discussion … I have my beliefs on the topic of religion but those I’ll save for a rainy day.

“The transition of Hamas into a full-blown terrorist organization was complete.  Many of its members had climbed the ladder of Islam and reached the top.  Moderate political leaders like my father would not tell the militants that what they were doing was wrong.  They could not; on what basis could they declare it wrong?  The militants had the full force of the Qur’an to back them up.
So even though he had never personally killed anyone, my father went along with the attacks.  And the Israelis, unable to find and arrest the young militants, continued to pursue soft targets like my father.  I think they figured that since my father was a leader of Hamas, which was carrying out these attacks, his imprisonment would put a stop to them.  But they never made an effort to find out who or what Hamas really was.  And it would be many painful years before they would begin to understand that Hamas was not an organization as most people understood organizations, with rules and a hierarchy.  It was a ghost.  An idea.  You can’t destroy an idea; you can only stimulate it. Hamas was like a flatworm.  Cut off its head, and it just grew another.”

Very interesting point regarding extremist organizations, parallels Al Qaeda in my opinion as well.

So I wake up this morning at 6am as usual and I’m on my way to work when I watch a truck run a red light and t-bone the taxi cab pictured…..I immediately pulled over and called 911, ran to each if the cars to make sure everyone was alright - only a few minor cuts & bruises….but the thing that shocked me the most was that all of the other people sitting at the greyhound bus station right on the corner as well as the other drivers in the surrounding cars didn’t even make an effort to get out to make sure everyone was okay. The light turned green and everyone went on their way like nothing had happened. It annoyed me, considering what if someone was really hurt and stuck- with oil leaking out of the car and the car still being on…??? Luckily everyone was okay though and the fire dept arrived shortly thereafter….but still, where’s the care at?  People are in too much of a hurry to help each other out, it’s sad….

If such images and information does not compel one to use the technology they have for as long as possible I don’t know what will. Seriously, go read and look at the rest of the photos. Now! I’ll be here when you get back…
